What this site is
ICD10 Detail publishes a page for every code in the United States 2027 code sets - 44,963 ICD-10-CM diagnosis codes, 79,115 ICD-10-PCS procedure codes, 8,685 HCPCS Level II codes, 383 modifiers and 766 MS-DRGs. Each page carries the official description, the full coding notes that apply to it, its position in the classification hierarchy, and the codes most closely related to it.
The goal is narrow and practical: when a coder, biller, clinician or student needs to check one code, the answer should load instantly and be complete enough that no second lookup is needed.
Where the data comes from
All code descriptions, coding notes, includes and excludes lists, and hierarchy relationships are derived from the public code files published by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) and the National Center for Health Statistics (NCHS). These files are in the public domain.
The 2027 code set is effective for discharges and encounters on or after October 1, 2026. We reload the full data set each year when CMS publishes it.
What this site is not
ICD10 Detail is an independent reference. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to CMS, the NCHS, the American Medical Association, the World Health Organization or any government agency.
